72 Hour Emergency Kits
In the event of an emergency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recommends every individual have the means to be self-sufficient for 72 hours. Though help will certainly arrive at some point, it may be delayed in getting to you. In the interim, many services and supplies, which you may take for granted, could simply not be available.
A power failure, for instance, can have multiple ramifications. At night, you would need emergency lighting solutions. Food can spoil within a matter of hours. If your stove is electric, then you have no source for food preparation. In the event of a neighborhood gas shut-off (a standard measure after an earthquake), heat and hot water could be unavailable. In the event water mains are shut off, not only is there no source for drinking water and bathing, but toilets would be unusable within a matter of hours.
In order to be fully self sufficient, one needs to have on-hand clean water, food, first aid supplies, tools, and breathing protection, as well as means for lighting, warmth, shelter, and communication. LifeSecure's 72 hour All-Hazard Emergency Kits come complete with everything needed to be self-sufficient for three days. And because you can't be sure where you'll be if a disaster should strike, we have kits designed for home, office, and on the go, so you can be secure in your preparation in any environment.
Our LifeSecure products are simple, practical, and--most importantly--easy to use, so that people can meet their needs and keep their cool during the most trying times. Experiencing a disaster can be very frightening. Our goal is to give individuals and families the tools needed to feel calm, and in control.
