David co-founded LifeSecure in 2005, just a few months before Hurricane Katrina taught everyone that one can go hungry and thirsty in America and even die before help arrives. For over a decade David has focused on developing and discovering superior emergency and disaster survival solutions - kits and supplies. He has trained community groups in emergency preparedness, helped non-profit organizations prepare emergency kits for needy individuals, conducted community emergency response exercises, and developed emergency plans for non-profit organizations. David makes an ongoing study of how best to prepare for and respond to various natural and man-made disasters, and his mission has been to help others “live Life SECURE” every day by preparing for what may come someday.

School Emergency Kits

Students and faculty may need to evacuate or lockdown a classroom during an emergency or disaster. It can be frightening having to direct large groups of children during emergency situations. Emergency kits for schools and classroom lockdown kits can provide critical survival supplies in the event that students and faculty need to remain in school or evacuate. An emergency kit for schools provides classrooms with first aid to stop bleeding and treat injuries until emergency assistance arrives. They also provide tools to manage large groups of people while evacuating by being able to provide direction, maintain calm and order, and providing search and rescue. LifeSecure’s classroom lock down kits provide the tools needed to survive an emergency lockdown situation. These are events where people in the schools may be hurt, but are unable to evacuate. Each classroom should have their own classroom lockdown kit, which includes emergency instructions, search and rescue supplies and tools, dust masks for easier breathing, first aid, water [5 year shelf life], and items that supply warmth, shelter, communication, light and sanitation.
